Early Voting

Wow, what a busy time of year this can be. We are looking forward to having Trick or Treating Downtown Friday from 3-5. And, we are experiencing a very high level of traffic in the store due to early voting. I have not seen the sidewalk outside the library empty yet this week.
I keep looking for a good time to head over and see if the line is low but it always seems to stretch down the street and around the corner. Way to go Alamance County!!!

Halloween

Trick or Treating Downtown is Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
It starts at the Depot with a list of participating business' giving out candy.
It's a great idea for small children that can't stay out late and don't want to be out after dark.

Girl's Weekend at the Beach

It was a beautiful weekend at the beach. Girl fun, dominoes, eating and shopping. Found some new, fun shops that carry neat and different gift ideas. Some of these items were at the market in Atlanta when we were there in July. We would love to have more of these fund things at Bella's House.

The Fabulous Lumpsters

Concert and Pig Pickin'featuring live music by the Fabulous Lumpsters

Save the date for a concert 20 years in the making! The Fabulous Lumpsters are coming back to Greensboro to perform on Saturday, October 18th at Price Bryan Performance Place at the Greensboro Cultural Center! Get ready for a night of fun as you move through the decades with this band that's been entertaining audiences since 1988.
If you've heard them in the past you know the Lumpsters put on a show like nothing you've ever seen. If you haven't seen them you don't want to miss out on this great party and the Lumpsters' first Greensboro appearance in six years. All proceeds benefit the National MS Society.
Tickets are $50 each and include a pig pickin' with all the fixin's, beer, wine and the show. Event will take place rain or shine. To order tickets call 299-4136

Loaves & Fishes Blanket Drive

"Spread Some Warmth" by donating new or slightly used blankets to the Loaves and Fishes Christian Ministry Blanket Drive. Drop off locations are The Elon School, McPherson Cleaners, Pip Printing and of course the Loaves and Fishes location downtown. The blanket drive is going on now through November 26th. What a great to feel warm and fuzzy inside!

Paint Class

We will start our paint class again this Thursday from 7-8:30pm. Simply bring a small piece of furniture and your favorite paint color. We will have all the other materials that are necessary. Call to sign up. This class is limited in size because I am still not in full use of my right shoulder. It is much better and no more sling. But I don't think I can shake a paint can just yet.
